Salah Extends Regret to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has revealed that Salah expressed regret to the entire Liverpool squad after the uproar from his televised remarks.

The Fallout

Salah was left out from a European match following criticising the club and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.

“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”

The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

Moving Forward

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

Jones also implied that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have remained strong in the games following the interview fallout. He feels the forward's comments were not intended to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” he finished. “That chapter is closed and we’re uniting strongly, performing and starting to win games.”
